Using Drones for the Integrated Rescue System
As part of the city’s public administration, we support the Integrated Rescue System (IRS). Years of cooperation with the Police of the Czech Republic and the Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic have resulted in the current use of drones. In 2019, Drones SIT became the first in the Czech Republic to be a part of the IRS.
Aims of the project:
- To investigate and verify the possibilities of using unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) for the integrated rescue system (IRS).
- To transfer the acquired experience and knowledge to the commercial and government sector.
- To provide services (aerial work by drones) to the IRS forces as the city of Pilsen.
Results of the project:
Scenarios have been verified for:
- Police – training, monitoring of football matches, rallies, search for missing persons, creation of 3D models of traffic accidents, online transmission of images from events, etc.
- Fire and rescue services – exercises, emergency operations within the competence of the commander of the operation in accordance with the IRS Act – fires in buildings, forests, collapse of structures, buildings, etc.)
- Crisis management – on-line transmission of images from the scene of a crisis event, etc.
The experience gained will be shared within the framework of the UAV Industry Alliance, at conferences and seminars, and with the commercial and government sectors.
These services are provided in support of the IRS.
