Free Wi-Fi

Pilsen has extended free WIFI to more public places. The number of locations has increased significantly. In addition to outdoor locations, such as the Mlýnská strouha and the orchard circle in the city centre, the park by the swimming pool in Lochotín, Chvojkovy lomy or Koterovská náves, the city has already introduced free WIFI in more than twenty public places in Plzeň. The aim of the city is to provide citizens and tourists in the rest areas with free access to information.

Aims of the project:

To provide citizens, visitors with free WIFI access in relaxation zones of the city, at counters of the offices, and city sports grounds.

Results of the project:

The citizens, the visitors, have free WIFI access. In the implementation, we used the existing city fibre optic network – such as Hot Spots, and city buildings. The service was implemented and delivered at minimal cost.

You can find an overview of locations at mapy.plzen.eu. You will be connected for 1 hour, then the connection terminates automatically (after you can reconnect).
