Pilsen CUBE II

Pilsen CUBE II is a unique, bold, and unprecedented student satellite project that aims to introduce young people to the space programme. In collaboration with the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, students will build a functional picosatellite and design experiments to be carried out in orbit.

Aims of the project:

To promote interest in technical education, bring more children, students to technology, space programme.

Results of the project:

Secondary school students design experiments in the form of a competition, then carry them out and, in the final stage, launch them into space on a satellite. The Student Satellite Project is part of the SIT Port activity. This department of SITM, of the IT company of the City of Pilsen, systematically promotes technical education and brings Pilsen closer to one of its set goals – to become a city of science and research, a city where there are enough high-quality, educated specialists in advanced technologies.



The launch of the student satellite was scheduled for 2022.
