Startupuj – Entrepreneurship Project for Secondary Schools

To teach students modern skills that they will value, to gain confidence, to stand out from the crowd and to be successful – that’s our goal! In Pilsen, we have been continuously supporting the entrepreneurial community. One of the latest activities of our colleagues at SIT Port is the Startupuj project. Together with external lecturers and experts from the business world, they are teaching key entrepreneurial skills in two selected secondary schools!

Aims of the project:

  • To introduce the teaching of entrepreneurship in secondary schools.
  • To improve the quality of knowledge, skills and entrepreneurship.

Results of the project:

  • For the pilot year of the Startupuj project, two secondary schools in Pilsen were selected – the Secondary School of Informatics and Financial Services and the Secondary School of Transport.
  • The programme is designed for one semester, with students attending two classes per week.

The Startupuj project is part of the Pilsen PINE ecosystem, a unique system of support for technical education, talent development and inspiration for entrepreneurship. The West Bohemian metropolis is one of the most advanced cities that comprehensively supports technical education, offers entrepreneurship as an alternative to employment, and supports those who decide to start a business.
